And just like that 2021 was over...
Wow what a year, when 2020 stopped us in our tracks as it did for so many around the world it really made us rethink who we were as a company and what we wanted to achieve so we crept into 2021 with a plan to be a better us...
So what did 2021 bring for us?
Sadly 2021 was the year we had to say goodbye to our theatre school. A decision that wasn't taken lightly but a decision that became the start of something new and exciting...
ReachOut Educate grabbed the opportunity of developing our history workshops and our wonderful team of educators have travelled across the UK delivering many workshops bringing history to life in a variety of classrooms. Our time machine has been busy, Anti Bullying week was jam packed and we have even taken our musical theatre discovery days into many schools too.
Company directors Saskia and Gem released the first book in a new children's series. 'The Magic Easel' launch day saw the book hit the Amazon best sellers list in our category, something we never imagined could happen. Seeing the book in print for the first time was really magical for the ReachOut team. 2022 will see the next instalment for Edi and her Magic Easel and we cannot wait!
ReachOut Creative really took centre stage last year for us as a company, with new clients, new exciting events and a whole host of exciting opportunities in the pipeline.
One of our highlights gave us the absolute pleasure of creating a brand new event for one of our clients from concept through to delivery which came with the joy of getting to work with Dame Julie Walters as she provided the voice over narration for a script we had written.
We cried laughing writing the script for our Christmas Panto testing out all of the usual dad style jokes on each other to see which ones would make the cut this year, then the best bit for us seeing the audiences laugh and cheer too.
Our office team has grown with new staff members taking on vital roles that truly support everything we need to be doing.
Covid has been creeping up on us at every angle but we are proud to have been able to keep our shows going until the end of the year. A lot of line learning, a fair amount of stress and worry for our company directors who had to jump in last minute but a very supportive team kept everything ticking over, we are so proud of everyone who has contributed to everything we have delivered throughout 2021 and are looking forward to all of the new and exciting things that are already booked in and being discussed for 2022...we will keep you all posted!
