Outdoor Theatre Production 2022
Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland stories, ‘A Very Mad Royal Tea Party’ celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with the usual chaos as can be expected when the residents of Wonderland are involved.
When the Mad Hatter, decides he would like to host a very special tea party and invite the Queen of England, he sends the White Rabbit off on a delivery - with the March Hare, Alice, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum involved, it evidently doesn’t go to plan and the invitation falls into the hands of the wrong Queen.
Will it be Off With Their Heads or will they get to meet the Queen of England and her corgis after all? Join us at this family friendly performance in the Shrewsbury Flower Show Arena this summer.

Meet The 2022 Cast:
Milly graduated from The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, in 2016 with a First in Acting for Live and Recorded Media.
Upon leaving drama school her first professional job was a new play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she then branched out into Entertainment Hosting onboard the now Marella Discovery and then Thomson Dream. Returning to the UK, she then found herself with opportunities to act in plays performed at Shrewsbury's own Theatre Severn. Recently, she's been out and about dressed as a Viking, Saxon & Tudor delivering immersive history workshops in schools around the country with the ReachOut Arts Educate team.
Alice is a role Milly is no stranger to, in between training and acting roles she spent a few years hosting children's birthday parties donning the infamous blue dress, so it's safe to say she knows the book inside out! She's really excited to be working on this production with ReachOut Arts and can't wait to venture out as Alice at the Shrewsbury Flower Show.
Collene is an award-winning actress, writer, composer and producer from South Staffordshire.
She has been performing and creating from a young age, initially training in dance and music before graduating with BA (Hons) Acting. Some recent acting credits include lead and supporting roles in An Editor’s Nightmare (short film), The Endless Village (feature film) and Searching for the Happiness (theatre show) – in which she also created the title song.
Alongside freelance acting jobs, Collene runs Redhead Reach to produce her own scripts – raising the profile of redheads on stage and screen. The first production was Anne of Green Gables, adapted from the classic novel by L.M. Montgomery, with some original music. Collene played the iconic red-haired Anne as well! The show toured to several venues, receiving 5 star and ‘outstanding’ reviews.
The second Redhead Reach production was The A to Z of Clueless Experts (web series). Collene created the 5-hour comedy/drama show entirely alone and played over 20 characters. This won Best Online Content at Birmingham Film Festival in 2019 and has been nominated for other awards.
Collene is delighted to be cast as the extraordinary Queen of Hearts and working with ReachOut Arts to bring their ‘Wonderland-inspired’ story to life, at the prestigious Shrewsbury Flower Show!
